Oklahoma SNAP Assistance Program

SNAP enables low-income families to buy nutritious food with Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards. SNAP recipients spend their benefits to buy eligible food in authorized retail food stores/Farmers' Markets.

Senior Farmers Market

The Oklahoma Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides a $50 EBT debit card to eligible seniors. This card can be used to purchase locally grown produce, raw honey, and fresh-cut herbs.

Beginning March 15, you can come in to Shortline Produce Co. any Thursday between 11-4, for assistance applying for SFMNP benefits. Call to make an appointment on any other days.

We have a recruitment team to assist seniors in the application process and provide real-time updates on an applicant’s status.

Recruitment events in the Cookson area will be announced in Early April.

More than 141,000 Cherokee Nation citizens reside within the tribe’s reservation boundaries in northeastern Oklahoma. Services provided include health and human services, education, employment, housing, economic and infrastructure development, environmental protection and more. The Cherokee Nation Farmers Market WIC program encourages recipients to make healthy food choices and supports local agriculture. Ask your CN WIC Case Worker for more information.
